The ESSEC Digital Disruption Chair prepares the next generation of leaders and helps organizations understand and respond strategically to emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, blockchain and quantum computing. Grounded in ESSEC Business School’s Paris and Singapore campuses, the Chair works with the people who build these technologies and the executives who deploy them.
The Chair conducts applied research on how emerging technologies reshape industries, involving highly selected students in corporate projects at the technological frontier. The Chair also contributes to public debate through the Digital Disruption Matrix, its annual barometer of emerging technologies, and its regular publications.
The Chair brings together an ecosystem of partners from finance, consulting, and technology, with BNP Paribas and Sia as sponsors, and Google, Amazon, and SAP as supporting partners.

Jan Ondrus is Professor of Information Systems and currently heading the ESSEC Digital Disruption Chair. He holds an MSc and a PhD in Information Systems from HEC Lausanne (University of Lausanne) in Switzerland.

With 10+ years of experience as a leader in tech industry in Asia, Europe and the US, Jérémy has led the launches and go-to-market strategy of many tech products, including Google’s AI Assistants, Google Photo and Google Search AR and VR Products.
Asma Iguelmamene
Chair Assistant
With over 6 years of experience in project management, account management, and translation, Asma currently serves as the Digital Disruption Chair Assistant at ESSEC Business School.
Léonie Larribau
Research Manager
Currently dedicated to the Digital Disruption Matrix, from expert interviews and data analysis to publication, she is particularly interested in the geopolitics of technology disruption and the development of generative and agentic AI.
